I love painting people and their unique features and expressions. The interesting challenge for me is trying to capture the “aliveness” of the person in that single moment in time.
Animals will always be a favorite subject for me to paint. I often like to play with colors and styles rather than strive for realism.
Plants, flowers, fungi, beautiful and/or interesting landscapes— these all make me happy.
It’s all about the movement!
My abstract art is meant to evoke a feeling or mood. Melancholy, peace, love, whimsy… the spectrum of the human experience. Recognizing that we share universal needs, my hope is that my abstracts would resonate with the viewer on a deeper level.
What kinds of adventures do you take in your dreams?
Perhaps the subject of these paintings could be categorized as “ordinary items in life which most people don’t spend time to see”. When I am able to notice these ordinary things, life feels pretty darn exciting.
